Overview

Dreamland Arts Inc is an artist-run, sustainable, contemporary multidisiplinary arts organization located in Buffalo, NY. We facilitate emerging artists, performers, and writers to exhibit, perform, discuss, and connect with art, creative writing, each other, our unique site, and the surrounding community. Artists-in-residence are encouraged to experiment with the medium of their choice in a creative setting in the heart of Buffalo, NY’s vibrant artist community. Residencies are selected from a criteria that includes portfolio and artistic intent. Dreamland is partial (but not exclusive) to artists of color, queers, women, trans* and non-gender conforming identified peoples.

Our programs generate dialogue and collaboration across geographic, ideological, and disciplinary boundaries. The Dreamland Residency´s activities include a monthly artist and writing residency, bi-weekly exhibitions, and a series of public programs throughout the year including open studios, art classes, performance events and access to various creative spaces throughout Buffalo. We also offer studio visits/critiques for artists involved with the organization by guest curators and visiting artists, and artist workshops with community members.

The Dreamland Artist Residency values community engagement, experimentation and accessibility..
